My Air Fryer Croissant French Toast is a real breakfast treat. Serve croissants one day and turn them into French toast the next with this easy air fryer recipe!
Slice the croissants in half lengthwise to make 8 thinner pieces of croissant.
Add the eggs, milk, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to a shallow dish and whisk to combine.
Spritz the basket of your air fryer with oil spray.
Dip each croissant into the egg mixture for about 30 seconds each. Don’t soak them in the custard for too long or they will get soggy and fall apart.
Place the croissants in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure to leave a little space between each piece. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Cook at 380 degrees for 8 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
Notes
If starting with fresh croissants, slice them and place them in a 200 degree oven for about 15 minutes to dry them out a bit before dipping in the custard. If your air fryer is not large enough to cook the full batch at once, keep cooked slices of French toast warm on a sheet pan in a 250 degree oven until ready to serve or set aside on a plate and add all pieces back to the air fryer at 350 for 1 minute to rewarm.
