These Air Fryer Crookies, or croissant cookies, feature buttery croissants stuffed and topped with gooey, melty chocolate chip cookie dough! Just two ingredients and 3 minutes in the air fryer.
Scoop out 2 tablespoons of cookie dough per croissant and flatten it out slightly. Press it into the inside of the croissant.
Place the top of the croissant over the cookie dough to close the cookie dough inside the croissant.
Scoop out 1 tablespoon of dough and flatten them out. Place the cookie dough on the top of each croissant.
Arrange the croissants in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Air fry at 350 degrees for 3 minutes.
Remove from the air fryer and let set for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
We bought baked croissants from our local grocery store (Kroger) that were labeled 'mini' in the bakery section. They're smaller than standard sized croissants - closer to the size of crescent rolls than you'd bake yourself at home. If using full size croissants, use more cookie dough. You really can't mess these up!We used a tub of refrigerated, prepared cookie dough. Nestle Toll House is my personal favorite. If you’re concerned about eating undercooked dough, look for a tub of cookie dough that is safe to eat raw, such as Pillsbury.Every air fryer cooks a bit differently so timing may vary a bit. You want the cookie dough to soften up and turn warm and gooey in the center and to brown a bit on the top. The cookie dough will not be fully cooked through. Store these in an airtight container for up to 24 hours. Rewarm in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 1 minute or in the microwave for 10-15 seconds. This recipe is easy to scale down to make just one crookie. You’ll need 1 croissant and 3 tablespoons of cookie dough.
