Cut a piece of parchment paper to fit the bottom of your air fryer basket. Use a skewer to poke holes in the parchment to allow air flow.
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with egg, and onion. Stir in the bread crumbs and seasonings, then add in the BBQ Sauce and milk. Use a large spoon or rubber spatula to combine the ingredients with the ground beef. Do not overmix.
Once combined, use a small scoop or spoon, and roll into 24 meatballs.
Use one half slice of bacon to wrap around the meatball before skewering with a toothpick. Place the wrapped bites into the lined basket. Do not stack or block air from circulating in the basket. Work in batches if necessary.
Place in the air fryer and cook at 370 degrees for 15 minutes or until the bacon and meat are fully cooked.
Serve as is or with a BBQ sauce.
Notes
If you would like your meatballs to be extra spicy, add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the mixture. When using the air fryer, I use ground sirloin, or a lower fat ground beef.
