Cooking French toast in the air fryer makes breakfast so simple! Pop these in the air fryer and let them cook - no need to pat attention to them or flip them. Plus, our kids just love dunking each stick in maple syrup.
Add the eggs, milk, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to a shallow dish and whisk to combine.
Spritz the basket of your air fryer with oil spray.
Quickly dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture and then place in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure to leave space between each piece. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Cook at 380 degrees for 7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve hot with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
Notes
This recipe makes 18 French toast sticks, but it can easily be halved or doubled. Leftover French toast sticks freeze well. Place on a sheet pan in the freezer for one hour and then transfer to a zip top bag. Squeeze out the air and seal. Freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat at 350 degrees in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes.
