Use the air fryer and just three ingredients to get the cutest Halloween mummy hot dogs you have ever seen! The best part is you only need 10 minutes to make this great party-themed snack!
Open the package of hot dogs and pat dry with a paper towel.
Unroll the crescent dough onto a cutting board and cut into 4 squares. Cut each square into 10 narrow strips lengthwise.
Wrap each hot dog with 4 strips of dough, stretching the dough a bit to wrap around the hot dog like mummy bandages. Leave a small area at the top open for the candy eyes.
Place the hot dogs in the air fryer, leaving space between each for air to flow. You will likely need to work in batches.
Air fry at 330 degrees (see notes) for 7-8 minutes or until crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through. Subsequent batches will take less time as the air fryer will be preheated at that point.
Remove the hot dogs from the air fryer and stick the candy eyes onto the hot dog to make the face.
Notes
Serve with choice of dip, such as ketchup, mustard, coney sauce, or cheese sauce.
If your air fryer does not go as low as 330 degrees, cook at the lowest temperature setting available (often 350) and check after 5 minutes.
You may use squires of mustard or sliced green olives in place of candy eyes, if preferred.
