Making roasted garlic in the air fryer is quicker than using the oven, super simple, and is a great way to elevate any dish. We can fit up to 5 heads of garlic in our air fryer at once - no need to adjust cook time or temp either.
Tear off a sheet of aluminum foil that is large enough to wrap the head of garlic completely.
Slice the top ¼ inch of the garlic bulb off, exposing the inner cloves but leaving the garlic intact.
Place the head of garlic in the center of the aluminum foil. Drizzle the oil over the garlic, letting it drip down into the cloves. Sprinkle lightly with salt, if desired.
Wrap the foil tightly around the garlic to seal it in.
Air fry at 380 degrees for 25 minutes.
Carefully remove the foil wrapped garlic from the air fryer and let cool a bit before carefully unwrapping the bulb. Let cool enough to handle and then squeeze the garlic from the skins.
Notes
All air fryers are a bit different, but we’ve found that 25 minutes at 380 is great in our Cosori. You may need to adjust a bit depending on your air fryer. The garlic should be golden brown and very soft.Spread roasted garlic on bread, squeeze into mashed potatoes, use to make garlic aioli (roasted garlic + mayo), add to hummus, and more. Roasted garlic goes with just about anything! We're able to fit 5 individually wrapped heads of garlic in our air fryer at once. Highly recommend roasting extra as it is a great addition to just about anything.
