This air fryer recipe for Greek chicken in a pita makes good use of the ease of an air fryer and cooks your chicken in 10 minutes. We serve this with some tzatziki sauce and feta cheese!
Chop the chicken breasts into small cubes, about 1 inch each. Place in a large bowl or zip top bag.
Add all of the remaining ingredients to a small bowl and whisk well to combine.
Pour the marinade over the chicken and stir to combine.
Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
Drain the marinade from the chicken and lightly pat the chicken with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Place chicken in an air fryer basket and air fry at 390 degrees for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking. Chicken should reach 165 degrees internally, continue cooking in 1 minute intervals until chicken is cooked through.
To serve:
Spread tzatziki over half of the bread, top with lettuce, tomato, feta, and chicken. Fold pita bread up to hold in the filling and serve.
Notes
The thicker pita bread without a pocket is more traditional for Greek food, but if you're using pita pockets, slice the top open and spread tzatziki inside the bread. Stuff with lettuce, tomatoes, and chicken.
