Parsnips are a healthy air fryer snack that you can be eating in under 10 minutes! Simple to prepare, quick to cook, and a healthy swap for traditional french fries!
Ever had the parsnip chips from Trader Joe’s? Oh, man. They were my first introdution to parsnips and I was an instant fan for life.
Of course, parsnips aren’t a super common go to snack food from what I’ve seen. In fact, no one in my family really ever eats parsnips at all…until I came along and started serving them up every chance I get. 😉
Parsnips are a bit sweet, like a carrot – but starchy, like a potato. A bit Earthy and nutty. They’re just irresistible to me!
These make the perfect healthy snack – serve up like french fries with your favorite dip. Of course, they also make a perfect side for dinner.
These air fryer parsnip fries are fun to experiment with, if you’ve never tried parsnips before.
Ingredient Notes:
Parsnips – Choose firm parsnips without soft spots. If they have their tops, you’ll want them with vibrant green leaves.
Seasoning– We use olive oil with garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
How to Make Parsnips in an Air Fryer:

Season the parsnips– Take your sliced parsnips and them to a mixing bowl and drizzle your olive oil over the top and sprinkle the seasonings over the parsnips. Toss this all to coat the parsnips.
Cook the parsnips-Place parsnips in a single layer in the air fryer and cook at 390 degrees F for 10 minutes or until tender and golden.

Recipe Substitution Option
You may like parsnips a little more sweet!
If you want to try sweeter parsnips you can omit the garlic, onion, and paprika. Instead, use a couple of tablespoons of honey and a teaspoon of rosemary to coat the parsnips. The rest of the recipe will work as is!More healthy snacks you might like:
