It is ideal to have a spray mister for applying oil to foods in an air fryer. If you don’t have one, you should seriously consider getting one. An alternative is usually to brush oil onto your air fryer basket and sometimes directly on the food. Most air fryer manufacturers have advised against using a non-stick spray from a can as they can shorten the life expectancy of your air fryer basket.
Fry the fries -Add the fries to the air fryer basket and spritz with the oil spray. Fry for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F. Halfway through cooking you should shake the basket to stop them all from sticking to one another or the sides of the air fryer basket. After 10 minutes check to see if they are done to your liking and cook in further in 1-minute intervals if necessary. We usually go about 13 minutes.
FAQ:
Try putting less of them in your air fryer basket. You can stack them a little bit but don’t pack your air fryer full. You need air to move around them a bit. Also, sometimes frozen foods can have a bit of ice on the food itself if not stored properly. Don’t use those as the ice will turn into steam and that isn’t a good way to make waffle fries!
