Ingredients needed for air fryer olives on a white countertop.

Green Olives – We use a mix of green olives. Try pimento stuffed, feta stuffed, and garlic stuffed green olives! Each bite is a surprise!

Breading – You’ll need flour and seasoning in one dish, eggs in another, and bread crumbs and panko in a third. This is a standard breading combo. We do use both Panko bread crumbs and Italian style bread crumbs for both good crunch and good coverage.

We love olives and these breaded, fried olives take one of our favorite snacks to a whole new level! These olives make for an irresistible snack and something that’s a bit different from the norm that makes them perfect for serving at gatherings or when watching the big game. Your guests will love these air fried olives!

To bread the green olives dip each one first into the flour, then the beaten egg, and finally the bread crumb mixture. Make sure you fully coat the olives in each of these before moving on to get the best results!

Serving Suggestions:

We like to serve these air fried olives with some ranch dressing or garlic aioli! Marinara sauce would be another great choice for dipping, and blue cheese dressing too. Pretty much any dip you’d like to use is fine here.

These fried olives make excellent snacks all by themselves or serve them alongside some other good stuff like our air fryer garlic bread! Serve them up at parties as part of a charcuterie board or cheese plate with your favorite deli meats and cheeses. Pepperoni and salami would go really well with the fried olives!

Fresh veggies like carrots, cherry tomatoes, and bell pepper are also good choices to serve alongside the olives at parties or gatherings or just when you’re snacking!

Recipe FAQs:

Can you put olives in the air fryer?

Absolutely! We like to bread the olives in a simple breading made with panko and fine bread crumbs to really coat the olives and help them get nice and crispy.

How to store leftovers?

Like most fried foods, these fried olives will be best served hot and fresh. However, you can store leftovers in a sealed dish in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 375 degrees for 5 minutes or until warmed through and crispy again.

Can I use other types of olives?

We’ve only tested this recipe with green olives, but it should work well with any type of olive, so long as it’s pitted. You may use olives stuffed with a variety of fillings, like pimento, blue cheese, garlic, or feta.
