Our Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Wings turn out so crispy thanks to the air fryer and that lemon pepper sauce is bursting with bright citrus flavors! These wings will quickly become a family favorite and a must for the next big game.
Lately, we’ve been absolutely obsessed with wings and coming up with new sauces and seasonings to toss them in.
If the air fryer is going to put out such fantastically crispy wings with such little work, we may as well take advantage of it, right?
Whether you’re making our air fryer frozen chicken wings (tossed in buffalo sauce) or these lemon pepper wings, I know you’re going to love how easy and crispy wings in the air fryer are!
This lemon pepper wing sauce is so bright and flavorful and adds the perfect zip to your crispy wings!
Ingredient Notes:
Chicken wings – Start with a pound of frozen chicken wing sections – this will be about 10 wings. We use frozen wings to take full advantage of the convenience of the air fryer.
Lemon pepper seasoning– You can purchase dried lemon pepper seasoning at the store. If you prefer to make your own fresh, I have a very brief how to below.
How to Make Lemon Pepper Wings:
Cook the wings– Place your frozen wings in your air fryer basket in an even layer. Spritz them with oil or brush a little vegetable oil on them. Air Fry them for 30 minutes at 400 degrees F.
Make the sauce – Add the melted butter and lemon pepper to a large bowl and stir to combine.
Toss the wings – Add your crispy air fried wings to the bowl with the sauce and give them a toss to coat the wings in the seasoning. Sprinkle with some fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
FAQ:
Grab 5 lemons and a microplane grater. Shave your lemon peels into a small bowl. Add in 1/3 cup of crushed or cracked black pepper and 1/4 cup coarse salt. Stir together then spread it all out on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake on the lowest setting until completely dry. This should be around 30-45 minutes. Add this mix to a spice grinder and grind to a consistent texture. Store in an air-tight container.
Yep! Skip the melted butter and place the seasoning in a bowl. After removing the wings from the air fryer quickly put them in the bowl and toss them to coat while they’re still hot.
While some recipes may include breading or sugar, our air fryer lemon pepper wings are low carb and keto.

Recipe Tips and Substitutions
You don’t have to use frozen wings! If you have thawed or fresh wings you can cook them for 20 minutes instead and also lower the temp to 380 degrees F. Check to confirm your chicken has an internal temp of 165 degrees F before serving!

We’ve tested so many, but the Cosori is still our favorite. It’s quieter than many, it doesn’t force a preheat cycle, and it just works well. We use this model (that’s an affiliate link).

The Cosori air fryer has been recalled by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and their manufacturer in China due to fire and burn hazards.
So do not use or buy a #Cosori air fryer.

Hello! You’re correct that some models have been recalled, but not all Cosori air fryers have been. The model that we recommend was not affected by the recall and is safe to use.
