These Air Fryer Frozen Vegetables are seasoned with a few favorite spices and then air fried to perfection in just 15 minutes! This light, healthy side dish is perfect for a busy night and an easy way to get those vegetables on the table.
We love fresh veggies and you’ll often find us air frying green beans or making air fryer eggplant, but sometimes you just don’t have fresh veggies on hand, you need to clean out the freezer, or hey, maybe you just like frozen vegetables?!
That’s where these air fryer frozen vegetables come in to play! We always keep a bag of frozen mixed vegetables on hand for cooking in the air fryer. It’s by far our favorite way to cook them – they don’t turn out weird and mushy like they do when you microwave or boil them, and the little roasty bits adds tons of flavor!
You can easily swap out the seasoning to whatever you like on your vegetable. We kept it simple with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, but there are so many fun seasoning blends out there to experiment with.
No frozen veg on hand? Try these air fryer vegetables. Same idea, but with fresh veggies, like squash and Brussels sprouts.
Serve these alongside our air fryer popcorn chicken for an easy meal, or get a little fancy with our air fryer hot honey chicken tenders!
Ingredient Notes:
Mixed vegetables – I like to buy the 10 ounce bags of mixed veggies, but you can mix and match individual bags instead if you want.
Seasoning– You only need garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
How to Make Frozen Vegetables in the Air Fryer:
Season the vegetables– Add your veggies to an air fryer basket and drizzle oil over the top. Sprinkle the seasonings over the top and toss to coat everything. We just do this right in the air fryer to keep clean up easy.
Air fry the vegetables – Air fry for 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees F. Shake the basket halfway through cooking to keep everything cooking as evenly as possible.
FAQ:
No, you can add frozen vegetable directly to the air fryer and cook them from frozen.
For roasted vegetables with browned, crispy edges, be sure to toss your frozen vegetables in oil and cook them at 400 degrees in the air fryer. You can continue cooking the vegetables until they’re as browned and crisp as you like, generally around 15 minutes.

I’ve made/roasted frozen veggies in the oven, steamed them along with rice in a rice cooker and I’ve also steamed them in the ‘nuker; however, I think the ‘best’, quickest and easiest method is using the air fryer, hands down.
I have a dual air fryer so I can either go straight vegan or cook a piece of meat in one 4qt fryer chamber and the veggies in the other, synchronize the cooking time so that both baskets are done at the same time.
I tried your quick recipe and it worked out great. It’s very similar to what I’ve been doing all along, thanks!

I agree – air fryer veggies are just so good! I think they taste like they were roasted in the oven, but they’re so quick and easy. 🙂
