FAQ:

What is ham steak?

A ham steak is just a slice of ham, sold individually or in small packages at the store. Ham steaks are a great way to enjoy ham without the commitment of buying a large hunk of meat.

Was my ham steak pre-cooked?

Often times ham steaks are pre-cooked, but you’ll want to look at the package to be sure. Either way, this recipe will work well and nothing will need to be adjusted.

Recipe Tips!

If you have to cook your ham steak in batches, you should wrap the cooked ham steak in foil and let sit in a warm oven to avoid drying it out!

Oh, we actually just purchase the ham steak – they’re already cut for you so they’re evenly sized and you don’t end up with one thick end and one thin end. They’re usually between 1/2 and 1 inch thick.
