These air fried uncrustables are amazing with their warm peanut butter and jelly center! The melted peanut butter and warm jelly inside these air fryer uncrustables makes this lunch so good it is almost dessert!Uncrustables are ok to start with, but when you coat them in butter and air fryer them, they are on a whole other level!

Grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are a family favorite and we’ve made them even easier by making AIR FRYER UNCRUSTABLES! Toasty bread filled with melty peanut butter and warm jelly make for the ultimate lunch or snack! These are so good you won’t want to share with the kids.

My husband might look like an adult, he might even have a real job like an adult, but let’s be real…he’s just a big, overgrown child. 😉

He’s addicted to board games, I catch him watching cartoons alone, he eats like an unsupervised kindergartner in a bakery.

And when it comes to crust…on bread or on pizza…it’s always left behind on his plate. Haha!

When Uncrustables first came out, it wasn’t my kids that wanted them, it was my husband. But, the truth is, we’re all hooked! The perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich and they take zero minutes of work!

Then I went and air fried our Uncrustables and I’m telling you, we now go through multiple boxes a week. These things are GOOD.

Melty peanut butter, warm jelly, toasty bread…these make a great afternoon snack or make a couple and eat them for lunch! We serve them for lunch with our air fryer tater tots – perfect for the kid at heart!

Ingredient Notes:

Uncrustables -We’ve tested with peanut butter and jelly (both grape and strawberry), but not with the other varieties. I assume this recipe will work with any variety of Uncrustables.

Butter – A must for that toasty grilled flavor!

How to make uncrustables in the air fryer:

Prepare the Sandwich – Spread soft butter on both sides of the frozen sandwich. Do not thaw before cooking!

Air Fry – Cook for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking. Let rest for 2 minutes before digging in.

FAQ:

How do I store my Uncrustables?

Uncrustables should be stored in the freezer. This recipe is intended to be made with frozen Uncrustables – do not thaw.

Will this work with all varieties of Uncrustables?

We’ve only tested the peanut butter and jelly Uncrustables in the air fryer, but we think that the honey or hazelnut varieties would also work well.

Why do you let these rest after cooking?

We toast these in the air fryer for 8 minutes followed by a 2 minute rest to allow the peanut butter and jelly to fully melt and settle before biting into the sandwich.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 2 Peanut Butter & Jelly Uncrustables frozen
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Spread the butter evenly on each side of the Uncrustables.
  • Place Uncrustables in the air fryer basket and cook at 350 degrees for 8 minutes, flipping the sandwiches halfway through cooking.
  • Let the sandwiches sit for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

Do not thaw the Uncrustables before cooking.
We’ve tested this with the peanut butter and jelly variety of Uncrustables, but not with any other version. The peanut butter and honey and peanut butter and hazelnut variety will likely also work well with this recipe, but we haven’t confirmed.
