This recipe guide for AIR FRYER SAUSAGE PATTIES will help you get your sausage cooked perfectly! Whether you start with fresh or frozen sausage, the air fryer is an easy way to get it on the breakfast table!
Sausage patties are a favorite around here and we always have a pack of them in the fridge.
You can serve them in a breakfast sandwich made with biscuits, toast, bread, or English muffins. We obviously recommend making the biscuits in the air fryer.
You can cut them up and put them in gravy for your biscuits and gravy.
They are also totally fab by themselves, alongside other breakfast options. The sausage pairs well with eggs, waffles, air fryer donuts, pancakes, French toast, crepes, you name it!
And of course, cooking them in the air fryer is our favorite way to make them! They’ll be tender on the inside, crisp on the outside, and taste just like you stood there at the stove, flipping at the perfect time, babysitting the heat, getting popped with sausage grease. 😉
And, of course, you can make sausage links in the air fryer too!
How to cook sausage patties in an air fryer:
For all of these methods, preheat your air fryer for 2-3 minutes before cooking! And be sure to spritz or brush your basket lightly with oil. This helps prevent the sausage from sticking.
Fresh Sausage Patties – Place the patties in a single layer, not touching each other, in your air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary. Cook for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F flipping halfway through.
Frozen Sausage Patties – Place the patties in a single layer, not touching each other, in your air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary. Cook at 400 degrees F for 12-15 minutes flipping halfway through.
Precooked Sausage Patties – Place the patties in a single layer, not touching each other, in your air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary. Cook for 6-8 minutes at 350 degrees F. Flip them halfway through cooking.
The sausage should be at least 160 degrees F in the center when it is fully cooked.
