Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Corn on the Cob is prepared with a BBQ dry rub seasoning, wrapped in bacon, and air fried to crispy perfection! This is a summer side dish that you won’t want to miss!
We love summer and one of our favorite parts of the season is the fresh sweet corn on the cob! We’ve made our corn on the cob in the air fryer for quite some time now, but we thought it was time to mix things up a bit!
You’ll want to start with local, fresh sweet corn if you can find it. It just doesn’t seem like the grocery store variety is as tasty as the kind that comes from a farm market.
This little side dish is perfect for summer, going great with burgers or hot dogs (try our air fryer cheeseburgers and air fryer hot dogs!) It’s quick, easy, and mess free!
We love that the corn on the cob gets roasted to perfection while the bacon crisps up as the drippings flavor the corn. You’ve probably noticed we have a thing with bacon wrapped goodies – like our bacon wrapped chicken and bacon wrapped green beans!
We really take this bacon wrapped corn on the cob over the top by sprinkling on a bit of homemade BBQ dry rub. The sweet corn with the savory spices and bacon is an excellent combination. These make great sides for your next summer BBQ cookout.

Corn – You’ll need 4 ears of fresh corn on the cob! If you can buy it local from a farmer’s market that’s your best bet for getting the sweetest, freshest corn there is. The grocery store corn is good but just doesn’t seem to be as sweet!
Olive Oil – We rub the corn in a bit of oil to help the seasoning stick and help the corn roast up nicely.
Barbecue Dry Rub – Try out my homemade BBQ dry rub recipe! We normally use it for cooking meat but you can use it on all kinds of other stuff too like this corn on the cob!
Bacon – You’ll need eight slices of bacon for wrapping the corn on the cob. I’d recommend using a normal, thin cut bacon. Thicker cuts will take too long to cook through and won’t crisp up as well.
Although we enjoy the flavors of a sweet and savory dry rub you could replace it with a different type of seasoning. Some Cajun/Creole seasoning or ranch seasoning would work well here or prepare your own homemade blend of seasoning to get this air fryer corn on the cob exactly how you like.
Step By Step Instructions:
Prepare – To prepare the corn on the cob for air frying you’ll start by removing the corn husks and silk. Brush each ear of corn with the olive oil and then sprinkle on the BBQ dry rub seasoning to coat.
Wrap – Wrap 2 slices of bacon around each cob of corn doing your best to fully cover it. Tuck the ends of the bacon under itself to help hold it in place!
Arrange – Arrange the bacon wrapped corn in a single layer in your air fryer basket with the folded side of the bacon down to help keep it in place. Parchment paper liners will help contain any mess, but they aren’t necessary.
Cook – Air fry the corn for 10-12 minutes at 400 degrees or until the bacon is as crispy as you like. This can vary depending on the thickness of the bacon! Serve hot.

Recipe FAQs:
Store leftover bacon wrapped corn on the cob in an airtight container or in plastic wrap in your fridge for about 3 to 4 days. You can reheat the corn in your air fryer at 350 degrees until hot.
Nope, at least not for this recipe. You’ll be removing the husk so no need to soak the corn. The air fryer will do a great job of roasting it and the bacon will help prevent it from drying out or overcooking!
