Our English muffin pizza recipe uses the air fryer to give the crust a toasty edge while keeping the center nice and chewy. Kids love to make these and parents love how easy they are!

I often get pizza cravings. That is normal right?
I want pizza for breakfast. I want pizza for lunch. And I want pizza for dinner, at least 4 times a week. Normal right?
I usually eat frozen pizza because I can’t afford pizza delivery every night of the week. On top of that I’m not always in the mood to make my own dough, but man, the kids LOVE when we do smaller individual pizzas so they can each put on their own favorite toppings.
Enter the humble English muffin…it is the perfect base for a pizza in the air fryer!
Plus, the kids can have a blast topping their pizzas however they want.

Ingredients:
English Muffins – Split them in half with a fork. One English muffin makes 2 crusts.
Pizza Sauce – We’ve been known to use the leftover marinara sauce as well!
Cheese – Mozzarella is our go-to, but feel free to get creative.
Toppings – Pepperoni, sausage, olives, mushrooms, onions, pineapple…the sky is the limit!

How to make English muffin pizzas:
Once you’ve gathered up your favorite toppings, spread some sauce over the halved English muffins.
Sprinkle with the shredded cheese and put on your favorite toppings.
While you are building your pizzas, let the air fryer preheat for a couple of minutes, and then pop them right in. They’ll cook in just 3-4 minutes.

Air Fryer Suggestions:

For this recipe, we used our Cosori air fryer. Air fryers work so well by moving a lot of air around inside the air fryer. This can blow the ingredients off the top of your pizza.
Our air fryer did NOT do this. We had zero issues with this. I can’t promise your air fryer will perform the same. If you are concerned about that you can use larger shreds of cheese and put your pepperoni under the cheese. Alternately, try placing a wire rack directly over the pizzas.

Personal pizza topping options:
Here are some ideas of things you can add to your English muffin pizzas to mix it up a little from time to time!
- Italian sausage
- Olive slices
- Bacon bits
- Pineapple – controversial, but so good!
- Small pieces of thin-sliced ham, or diced ham.
- Jalapeno slices
- Anchovies – even more controversial than the pineapple!
Common Questions
Like all pizza, they are fine to serve alone. If you want some more though a good salad, breadsticks, or garlic bread are good options!
