These Air Fryer Ham and Cheese Wraps take six simple ingredients and about 10 minutes to go from fridge to golden, melty, crispy-edged lunch. You get the cozy vibe of a hot ham and Swiss sandwich with a tangy Dijon mayo all wrapped up in a buttery tortilla.

My family is starting to think I have a problem. I’m physically incapable of going to the grocery store without grabbing a pack of soft flour tortillas. We always have a fresh stack in the panty and I’m always looking for ways to use them up.
So, when I spotted the stack of flour tortillas, a pack of deli ham, and a bag of shredded Swiss in the kitchen, I got to work on lunch. I rolled everything up, tossed it in the air fryer, and everyone ended up pretty happy about my tortilla obsession.
I’ve tested a lot of tortilla recipes and I can tell you from experience that if your tortillas are cracking when you roll them, you just need to give them a quick 20 seconds in the microwave under a damp paper towel. It makes them soft and pliable. After testing this one a few times, I also learned to let these ham and cheese wraps sit for a minute or two after cooking so the cheese is nice and melty without being too oozy.
If your family loves our Air Fryer Hot Ham and Cheese, these wraps hit the same craving without being the same old boring sandwich. They come together a lot like our Air Fryer Quesadilla, so if you’ve made that, you already know the drill.
Lunch in about 10 minutes. Between the quick tortilla warm-up and a 5 to 6 minute cook, these are on the table quick.
Crispy outside, melty inside. A light brush of butter turns the tortilla golden and a bit crisp while the Swiss melts into the ham.
Pantry staples, zero fuss. Tortillas, deli ham, Swiss, Dijon, mayo, and butter. You probably have most of it in the kitchen right now!
Ingredient Notes, Swaps & Tips

Flour tortillas. The 8-inch size is the sweet spot. It holds two slices of ham and a good handful of cheese without getting too bulky to roll. Warming them first is the step you don’t want to skip, since cold tortillas crack when you fold them. Whole wheat or spinach tortillas work too.
Dijon and mayo. This quick sauce gives the wraps a little tang and keeps them from tasting dry. If you like things saucy, double it and either add extra to each wrap or save half for dipping. Honey mustard is a fun swap if your kids aren’t big on Dijon’s bite.
Deli ham. Any thin-sliced ham works. Black forest, honey ham, or smoked ham all bring a slightly different flavor. Thinner slices roll up easier, so skip the thick-cut stuff here.
Swiss cheese. Swiss melts beautifully and pairs so well with ham and mustard. Buying a block and shredding it yourself is always my preference for the best melt, but let’s be real – pre-shredded is going to work just fine in this case. Cheddar, provolone, or pepper jack are all easy swaps.
Melted butter. Brushing the outside is what gives you that crisp, golden tortilla. If you’d rather have a soft wrap, skip the butter, wrap each one in foil, and add 1 to 2 minutes to the cook time.
