Air fryer basket full of pretzels on a countertop.

Soft pretzels are always a hit, with their chewy texture, slightly sweet flavor, and salty crust, making them a satisfying and versatile snack that can be enjoyed on their own or paired with various dips and toppings.

You can pick up a package of frozen pretzels from the grocer, get home and turn on your air fryer, and in five minutes you are enjoying a perfectly cooked soft pretzel!

If you’re the type of person who just can’t shop at the mall without stopping by a certain pretzel joint, you’re going to love how easy and budget friendly this little recipe is. Sure, frozen pretzels will never be as good as fresh, but they are still tasty and they make a great snack!

We have loads of articles on how to cook frozen foods in the air fryer, if you’re into that sort of thing. Try out our frozen burgers in the air fryer, frozen hashbrowns in the air fryer, or even our frozen burrito in the air fryer!

Pretzels – We cook 2-4 pretzels at a time in our air fryer. It’ll just depend how many you can fit in the basket in a single layer.a time.

Pretzel Salt – Usually your package of pretzels will have salt in a little bag included. If not, kosher salt will work well.

FAQ:

Do I need to thaw the frozen pretzels before cooking them in an air fryer?

Nope! Pop them from the freezer into your air fryer!

Do frozen pretzels come pre-cooked?

Yes, they do! You are just using the air fryer to keep a good texture on the pretzel while warming them back up. Using the air fryer will make the crust more crisp than a microwave and it will warm the pretzel evenly throughout, also superior to the microwave.

Recipe Tips!

You can turn your pretzels into a desert!

Skip the part where you add the water and salt and air fryer as otherwise directed. After removing the pretzel from the air fryer brush on melted butter and then sprinkle on a mix of cinnamon and sugar.

You can then dip these in sweetened cream cheese or canned cake frosting!
