These air fryer roasted potatoes are the best dang roasted potatoes we’ve ever made! Tossed in garlic butter and roasted until crispy around the edges and so soft and fluffy inside! They’re so good you won’t want to share!

Garlic and butter might just be my favorite flavor combo of all time.

I mean, what does it NOT go well with? We have used it with air fryer steak bites, air fryer frozen shrimp, and of course air fryer mushrooms.

Garlic butter is great on just about everything, but oh boy, it’s just fabulous on roasted potatoes!

I had roasted potatoes at my favorite steakhouse one night and they were flavored with just garlic and butter. I loved them, couldn’t stop thinking about them, and now make them at home all the time!

I also loved the wine I was drinking that night, but that is another story. 😉

When I got my air fryer, it was inevitable I would make garlic butter potatoes in it and man, these exceeded my expectations. When I say you won’t want to share, I mean it. Make these when you’re home alone. Trust me on that.

Ingredient Notes:

Potatoes– We use baby potatoes. This recipe calls for on and a half pounds of baby potatoes, if you need less adjust accordingly. However, these reheat really well and also substitute for a delicious breakfast potato, so I would cook the pound and a half for sure!

Recipe Tips!

Reheat them in the air fryer at 400 deg F for 5 minutes or until warm in the middle.

Seasoning– Melted butter is the base with some garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and paprika.

How to Make Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes:

  1. Wash your baby potatoes and cut them in half
  2. Drizzle the potatoes with melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Toss it all together to combine.
  3. Cook the potatoes in the air fryer for 20 minutes. Shake the basket every 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.

Do I need to use oil in the air fryer for this recipe?

Nope, just toss the potatoes in butter as directed.

What should I serve with these potatoes?

These air fryer potatoes will go well with just about anything. Steak, pork chops, grilled chicken, and air fryer cheeseburgers are all good options.

A tip from a reader!

Margie says: “These were delicious. I just found your recipe this morning and didn’t have baby potatoes so I used a russet potato cut into chunks. On a whim Instead of using onion powder I cut up an onion. Thanks to your recipe I was able to serve some great potatoes for lunch. I’m looking forward to checking out some of your other recipes!!”

Hi Kelly! We’ve only made these in basket style air fryers. I’m not sure how the Instant Pot works, but I would think they’d be fine. 🙂
